1. Copyright Ownership
1.1 Exclusive Rights: CJ owns and retains all copyrights, intellectual property rights, and associated interests in and to:
- All digital artwork featured collections
- Website design, layout, and graphical elements
- Project branding, logos, and visual identity
- Written content, descriptions, and creative narratives
- Marketing materials and promotional content
1.2 Protection Status: All creative works are protected under applicable copyright law in Portugal and relevant international treaties.
2. Digital Artwork Ownership vs. Copyright
2.1 What You Own: When you purchase a Digital Artwork from any collection created by CJ, you acquire:
- The right to display the artwork in personal digital spaces
- The right to use as profile picture on social media
- The right to include in personal digital art collections
2.2 What You Don't Own: Digital Artwork ownership does NOT grant:
- Copyright to the underlying artwork
- Commercial rights to use the artwork
- Trademark rights to project branding
- The right to create derivative works
- Ownership of the intellectual property
2.3 License Scope:
The personal use license granted here is:
- Non-exclusive (I can license the same artwork to others)
- Worldwide in scope
- Limited to personal, non-commercial use
Simple Personal Use License
When you own the Digital Artwork: You can display it personally (profile pictures, personal galleries, etc.) for non-commercial use.
When you sell it: The personal display license transfers to the new owner automatically. The license is always tied to the current owner.
The smart contract handles token ownership on the blockchain. All usage rights are defined here and in our Terms of Use. I retain all copyrights as the artist.

4.1 Infringement Examples: The following activities constitute copyright infringement:
- Unauthorized reproduction of artwork
- Creating derivative works without permission
- Commercial use without licensing
- Distribution of copied or modified artwork
- Public display in commercial contexts
- Digital or physical reproduction for sale
4.2 Rights Reserved: In case of infringement, I reserve the right to take all appropriate measures to protect my copyright, including pursuing legal remedies under applicable law.
4.3 Community Respect: This project thrives on mutual respect between artist and collectors.
